ADULT STEM CELL RESEARCH CENTER

The purpose of our lab is to research various properties, functions and therapeutic effects of adult stem cells. Over the past decade, we have made major advancements in the field of stem cell biology as well as the application of stem cells for the use of cell therapy. Currently, we conduct both basic science research and clinical studies to further enhance our understanding of stem cells.

Our labs lead stem cell research in immunomodulation; finding the interaction between immune related cells and stem cells. Using adult stem cells we are trying to understand the mechanism of aging. Additionally, we are investigating direct reprogramming from fully differentiated somatic cells to neural stem cells. Understanding the basic role of stem cells, we are trying to apply new therapeutic approaches to inveterate diseases.

Lastly, based on our achievements, our lab cooperates with labs from universities and corporations to share knowledge and develop stem cell treatment options for diseases. Together we will contribute to the development of stem cell research and therapies, aiming our goal to improve the health and quality of life for individuals.
